What a typical wedding costs

Almost every quotation we build for a wedding in Hyderabad lands between ₹3 lakh and ₹6 lakh. Some go above that, usually when a wedding has every event, a pre-wedding shoot and the full set of albums.

The four things that decide the price

1. How many events. This is the biggest factor by far. A wedding with four events and one with eight are very different, and so are their prices.
2. The crew each event needs. A Pellikoduku at home might need three people, while the muhurtham needs a full team. The ritual and the size of the crowd decide the crew.
3. Albums. The number and kind of albums, for example one large album for the couple and smaller press books for the parents, change the total.
4. Pre-wedding and extras. A pre-wedding shoot, drone coverage, live streaming or an LED wall are added only when your wedding needs them.

An example quotation

This is the example quotation shown on our Build Your Quote page, for a wedding with five events: Pellikuthuru and Haldi with a crew of 3 (₹45,000), Pellikoduku and Haldi with a crew of 3 (₹45,000), Sangeet with a crew of 3 (₹50,000), the wedding with a crew of 5 (₹1,00,000), the reception with a crew of 4 (₹60,000), three press book albums (₹45,000) and a documentary film (₹60,000). The total comes to ₹4,05,000.

What each event starts at

Our quotation never goes below a minimum crew for each event. These are the starting prices for that minimum crew: Engagement ₹60,000, Pellikoduku or Pellikuthuru ₹25,000, Haldi ₹35,000, Mehendi ₹35,000, Sangeet ₹35,000, Vratam ₹25,000, the wedding ₹80,000 and the reception ₹40,000.

Questions to ask about any price

1. Is GST included? Ask for the tax to be shown, so that you compare like with like.
2. What does each event include? A single package price can hide a smaller crew at the events that matter most to you.
3. How are travel costs handled? With us, travel and stay inside Hyderabad's Outer Ring Road are included. Outside it, travel is billed at cost and every bill is shown in our app.
4. How do payments work? Our standard structure is 40% to book the date, 40% in the wedding week and 20% when the original files are handed over.
